#3DPM is going to the Moon! Well as near as we can J
The ‘Manchester Space Programme’ was officially launched to
an enthusiastic and packed venue at the Manchester digital laboratories
(MadLab). #3DPM as a member of the ‘Makers in Space’ UK community network, will
be doing its bit and making the right stuff to get a genuine satellite into
orbit, doing valuable scientific research.

There is a lot to do and this is a serious venture “THE
MISSION IS TO GO WHERE OTHERS HAVE GONE BEFORE MORE COST EFFECTIVELY and DO
IMPORTANT STUFF” such as save the planet, cure cancer, etc etc..
The project has been seed funded by the UK Space Agency’s
‘Space for all’ initiative and now we have to get into the
details of the what, how and when; which needs your input.
We have already bounced ideas around about putting a cat
into space, so if you’re a cat or dog lover or animal lover of any kind, get involved
to stop this barbaric act and suggest something better J
To paraphrase the late great JFK “We choose to get into the Manchester
Space Program, not because it’s easy, but because it’s hard, because the goal
will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because
that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to
postpone, and one which we intend to win.”
